The curriculum encompasses current knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration, alongside demonstrations and practical training of related competencies.
Through an integration of theoretical learning and hands-on practical training, you will acquire the skills necessary to install, maintain, diagnose, and repair a broad range of HVAC-R equipment typically found in residential, commercial, and industrial contexts.
In the HVAC-R program, students learn:
• Mathematics, System Design, and Facility Management – trade math, fundamental electricity, building management systems, construction blueprints and specifications, heating and cooling system design, OSHA standards and regulations, and an emphasis on EPA Section 608 certification.
